St Mary’s today still stands at the centre of a community. Open each day, it welcomes visitors from around the country and abroad, offering a place of peace and inspiration. Each Sunday it continues to be a place of worship, of celebration and reflection as Sarah Losh intended. The church is open on a daily basis from 10.00am to 4.00pm.

You are welcome to join us in our regular Sunday services which are held on a monthly rota as follows:

1st Sunday – 11.00am: Holy Communion
2nd Sunday – 11.00am: Morning Worship
3rd Sunday – 11.00am: Holy Communion
4th Sunday – 11.00am: Morning Worship
5th Sunday – 11.00am: Morning Worship

Wreay is south of Carlisle and easily accessible by car, being 3 miles from junction 42 of the M6. The postcode for St Mary’s Church is CA4 0RL.

No visit to St Mary’s Church is complete without also visiting the new Sarah Losh Heritage Centre which is also open each day from 10am to 4pm.

Prearranged guided tours are available for larger groups and will include access to the unique Mausoleum which is normally kept locked.

Please note that there is no public toilet at St Mary’s Church nor at the Sarah Losh Heritage Centre. The toilet and kitchen facility at the Centre are only available to prearranged guided groups or during special events.

Due to the design of St Mary’s, wheelchair access is limited to the font area only, from where the entire church can be viewed. The Centre is fully wheelchair accessible.
