Visiting
‘St Mary’s
at Wreay is one of the most original and interesting churches you
could wish to see.’
Barrie and Wendy Armstrong,
The Arts and Crafts in the North West of England
St Mary’s today still stands at the centre of a community.
Open each day, it welcomes visitors from around the country and abroad,
offering a place of peace and inspiration. Each Sunday it continues
to be a place of worship, of celebration and reflection as Sara Losh
intended. The church is open on a daily basis during daylight hours.
Prearranged
guided tours are available for larger groups. Why not make your visit
into a day’s outing? Refreshments can be arranged
in the nearby Wreay Village Hall.
Lunch is served at the Plough Inn
across the village green from 12noon to 2.30pm, Wednesday through
to Sunday and evening meals every day from 6.00pm. For reservations
at the Plough call 016974 75770.
We hope that you enjoy your visit.
